Five on the Fifth 2016 Short Fiction Contest

The 2016 Five on the Fifth Short Fiction Contest was a huge success! 

We received 97 submissions! 

The 5 winning stories are as follows: 

• 1st Place: Where It's Buried by Denise H. Long

• 2nd Place: Miz Maddie's School for Fine Young Ladies by Linda Barbosa

• 3rd Place: The Loneliness of Dogs by Donovan Swift

• 4th Place: Stir by Laura Lovic-Lindsay

• 5th Place: Bleach and Alcohol by Lara Connolly

The prizes for the contest were as follows: 

• 1st Place: $150 + publication in our November issue

• 2nd Place: $100 + publication in our November issue

• 3rd Place: $75 + publication in our November issue

• 4th Place: $50 + publication in our November issue

• 5th Place: $25 + publication in our November issue
